The Crown is set in the middle of the village opposite the duck pond guarded and is guarded by a Dalek standing outside. At the heart of the local community, it has a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. The main bar is stylishly refurbished with a welcoming fire in winter. Four real ales are available including two changing guests. The separate restaurant serves freshly prepared food made from local produce.

There is a quiz night on Tuesdays and Live Music on Saturdays or Sundays from 5:30pm evenings.
