Friendly and comfortable, this Grade II listed pub is set by the village green and dates from the 15th century. They have 3 regular Wadworth beers and the occasional guest. Food is home-cooked and served in the bar or dining room. During World War II it became the officers' mess for America's 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment. The pub has featured on TV, most famously in a 1971 episode of Dr Who.
