Large modern Arkells pub in Taw Hill on Thamesdown Drive. Whilst largely open plan, the pub is cleverly sectioned into traditional sports bar, several eating areas, and a quiet soft seating area for newspapers, reading or quiet conversation. The pub mayors on food and new menus seek to provide a good value package. Popular amongst travellers, there are 5 rooms for guests, and breaksfast is now served to all comers from 10.00. A large car park, extensive grass area with a splendid childrens play park, and the number 15 bus stopping right outside, Unusually for Arkell's, a guest beer alternates with two regular house beers. footpath to "Mouldon Hill County Park" (5 minutes away) crosses the North end of the car park.
